Michael Artemis is a Registered Patent Agent focusing primarily on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications. Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a registered patent agent for over six years, where he represented individual and small-to-medium sized companies. Michael has extensive experiences preparing and prosecuting patent applications in diverse areas of technologies spanning the mechanical arts, medical devices, gas turbine engine components, business methods and electro-mechanical systems. Michael is familiar with the explosive growth in intellectual property with respect to the gaming industry.

Prior to becoming a patent prosecutor, Michael’s obtained some truly unique professional experience ranging from being a professional photojournalist to a trackside systems engineer on Indy cars. As a photojournalist, Michael worked for several metropolitan newspapers as well as nationally recognized magazines covering events such as daily news stories, the Pope's United States visit, and professional sporting events like the National Football League's Superbowl. As a systems engineer for the McDonalds and Panasonic Indy car teams, Michael was responsible for the data acquisition/telemetry systems, damper development and real-time fuel consumption calculations at all racing and testing events. This position required extensive working knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, and the ability to accurately/quickly solve various engineering problems.

Michael received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from William S. Boyd School of Law — University of Nevada Las Vegas, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Nevada, Reno. Michael is licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
